If you have ever been to Prince Edward Island, you have probably ate at a Church Lobster Supper. Its not fancy, but its some good eating. All-u-can-eat Chowder, fresh buns, salad, mussels, PEI potato salad, etc. With some delicious Lobster! We decided to feast at New Glasgow Lobster Suppers the first evening we arrived on the Island.
The place is not established to be a ‘fancy’ dining experience. As you can see, plastic table clothes, plastic cups, and ceiling fans (I was wanting some AC). However, it was a great food. A real chillaxed atmosphere. However, our one criticism was the slow service. But there was a reason for our slow service. As our server reassured us, “Im really sorry for the slow service but we have an Olympic athlete, so I’m sure you understand.” I didn’t understand. I struggle with patience. My initial thought was, ‘I wish I was in better shape, so I could sell that story, and get good service.’
This is my stalker attempt of trying to capture a picture of the hypothetical ‘Olympian’. As I tried to explain to Tanya, “I’m just taking a picture of the restaurant – wide shot.”

Fast forward a couple days ago. As I’m hanging with one of my former youth group students, Paul Mawdsley, we decide to watch a movie. My mom had given me the CTV Winter Olympic Blu-Rays for my birthday, and I hadnt watched them yet. As we sat and chatted about sports, we had the movie running in the background. Then comes on a special about the women’s bobsled team and I see her… Heather Moyse, native from PEI, and GOLD medalist for Canada in the 2010 Winter olympics! I was so close to a gold medalist! Why didn’t I ask to get a photo with her. I did bug her brother in-law (I assume the relation) to take the photo of Tanya & I together (above), as he was chasing his son around the restaurant. I hope they enjoyed their customer service…
